"Jack is a budding Zoologist and wildlife filmmaker currently studying his undergraduate degree in Zoology at the University of Leeds, UK.
Of British origins, Jack was born and raised in the urban metropolis of Hong Kong and is currently undergoing a year in industry working as a research assistant at the University of Hong Kong.
His work at HKU is with the wildlife forensics laboratory and so far he has been working extensively both in the lab and in the field covering topics such as the illegal trade of Helmeted Hornbills and genomic research with Hong Kong’s invasive population of the critically endangered yellow crested cockatoo."
On a personal note, for as long as I can remember I have been inspired by the natural world through the medium of wildlife documentaries. Whilst my peers were watching cartoons, I was being enthralled in David Attenborough’s ‘Blue Planet’ and Steve Irwin’s ‘The Crocodile Hunter’. Since these early days, it has been my goal to study this fascinating world we live in. I aim to inspire a new generation like I was inspired through wildlife media.
As well as having a very academic background and I have vast dramatic experience both in theatre and media. I am passionate and driven and feel I would be an ideal presenter and with my combination of academic and dramatic background I would be able to engage an audience and help tell a story.
Please do not hesitate to get in contact with me and please see my CV for more details. (I have a separate Acting CV if you would like to see that please just send me an email.) Thank you! |

Stepping off a Qantas aeroplane in the Sunshine Coast airport of Queensland, AU, I paused and the happiest moment of my life washed over me. I had been invited by the legendary photographer Steve Parish to attend a weekend masterclass of his (for free), lodging in his studio over the weekend. For a young aspiring photographer of 15, it doesn't get much better than that!! In a mere 48 hours, my skills received the upgrade of a lifetime, and I left with an inspiration that still burns within me.
Several years hence and I'm rapidly gaining recognition as a stills photographer and wildlife conservationist, continuing my mentorship journey with the best as I forge my own path into the filmmaking industry. Building on my deep-set love for and appreciation of the natural world, I seek always to capture the essence of the wildlife that shares our planet, to illustrate its longstanding connection with us as human beings, and in doing so create a new meaning for the words 'Human Nature.' |

Available for work as a Runner or Assistant. I can offer enthusiasm, patience, a desire to learn, and overall have a good work ethic.
A bit about me...
I currently have an internship with EcoStorm working 2 days a week and am seeking extra work to compliment this. I am available Wednesdays to Sundays.
Educated to degree level I have a 1st in BSc Environmental Science. Recently I attended a Wildeye course - 'An Introduction to Wildlife Filmmaking', which I thoroughly enjoyed and have consequently booked up on a further two courses - Research & Production, and the Wildlife Camera Operator course. I am also applying to do my Masters in Wildlife Filmmaking next year.
Work wise I have previous experience with Sky Media, the Environment Agency and the RSPB. I volunteer with the Wildlife Trust in my spare time and have also worked on a volunteer placement with Ocean Spirits monitoring and protecting leatherback turtles.
I am passionate about wildlife and the environment. It is my ambition to one day make films that not only show how fascinating nature is but that also highlight the fragility of it. My aim is to document the human impact on the earths species and ecosystems whilst bringing a positive message of what we can all do to help conserve them.
If you have any Runner work/Assistant roles available I would love to hear from you. |

If you asked my friends and family to describe me, the first thing they would say is Dom is obsessed with animals. Since a young age I have had a fascination with the Natural World, and as I have grown older capturing it has become my passion, and hopefully one day my vocation!
I've been lucky enough to travel extensively, and this has truly inspired me and my work. In Asia I have lived in the mountains of Nepal and worked with tigers in Thailand. In Africa I have worked to conserve lion populations in Zambia and trekked to see the Mountain Gorillas in Uganda. These experiences and the people I have met along the way have been truly amazing, and have given me a great insight in to different cultures and ways of life which I have tried to translate in my photos.
I'm also facinated by the abundance of wildlife at home in the UK, right on my own doorstep. During my time working as a Ghillie in the Outer Hebrides was a great chance to capture the last remaing bits of wild space we have left n the UK and a chance to come close to some amazing British Wildlife.
For the past year I have been volunteering at The Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust's Martin Mere Centre in Lancashire. As well as being home a large collection of foreign and native water birds, Martin Mere also attracts thousands of migrating species throughout the year and is ever changing with the seasons. Its my job to capture footage of both residents and visitors for their Wildlife Weekly Episodes and bring a taste of what's happening in the natural world, and how you can see it.
Next on my adventures is a 6 month trip around Asia before heading to New Zealand to live and work. Along the way I will be updating this site with pictures and videos, and I'm hoping to capture some spectacular sights!
Thank you for visiting my website. I hope you enjoy it and please get in touch with any questions you may have. |

I am a freelance photographer and camera operator looking for any entry level position. Ideally camera assisting work, however I can happily fulfil the role of runner or jr. researcher.
- I have some professional experience, working at Ammonite as a researcher and camera assistant.
- I am a zoologist; therefore I can read, interpret, digest and explain complex scientific concepts from primary sources. And thus fulfil the position of a researcher. Furthermore I have done research for both Sky and Ammonite, the former as part of a work experience placement and the latter as part of paid employment.
- I have very good knowledge of insects and arachnids, with a particular emphasis on ants.
- I have a master’s degree with distinction from the University of Salford where I learned the basics of wildlife film-making.
- I produce my own short sequences about wildlife. My aim is to film common, but rarely seen behaviour in order to educate people about invertebrate life around us. I filmed this sequence showing a raft spider laying eggs (a behaviour filmed by me for the first time) received an honourable mention in 2013’s British Wildlife Photographer of the year Awards. I have also made this sequence about mating and courtship in the common daddy longlegs. I am currently in the process of finishing off two more films on orb spiders and water boatmen.
- I also shoot stills.

Being skilled in underwater, aerial and night filming including the use of infrared cameras this makes me highly adaptable for various filming productions. I have successfully taken on subjects including pop, reality TV shows and corporate/ charitable films to complement my wildlife filming. I am also proficient in the use of Final Cut Pro editing programmes and am always keen to take on new challenges. I always maintain a professional attitude to my work and have the patience, discipline and adaptability to produce the highest quality footage that is needed for today‚s markets. I interact well with other members of the production team as well as being able to work alone on my own initiative. Having demonstrated the highest levels of motivation to successfully meet the tightest of deadlines and budgets I am unfazed with working long and unsocial hours in the most difficult of conditions. As a fully qualified aircraft engineer, I am inventive and use my sound electrical and mechanical knowledge to successfully develop solutions to production problems with minimum cost. Having a desire to succeed I have attended a variety of courses and have a broad knowledge of producing, directing, camerawork, lighting and editing skills. |

With a longstanding passion for wildlife that began before he could walk, Robbie has always known that his life would revolve around wildlife. As he matured, he realised the best way to help the natural world was to pass on his passion to others through the medium of film. Aspiring to be a wildlife presenter but currently would like to immerse himself in the industry in any and all sectors given the opportunity.
Since then he has graduated with a Zoology degree, including an open unit in maths, and then went on to graduate with a Masters in Global Wildlife Health & Conservation. Throughout the Masters he performed weekly presentations in front of the class and other academics. Furthermore he completed a dissertation, entitled "The features associated with high viewing figures in wildlife films & the role of conservation", to determine what is needed to make a 'successful' documentary and ways of incorporating conservation into these without detrimentally affecting the viewing figures.
Recently travelled for six months across four continents researching the wildlife in each location and making it his mission to capture it on film. He filmed cassowaries, Komodo dragons and pigmy marmosets in the wild (amongst many other species). Whilst travelling, Robbie also became a certified Advanced Open Water Diver.
Since returning, he has taken to editing the vast quantity of footage with the aim of creating some of his own short wildlife films. |

Being a documentary cameraman for years I've specialised mainly in National History.
Next to this I have developed good experience as a Camera Assistant and Sound Recordist.
From the start of my first days in Film making I’ve gained much experience from pre- to post-production. I’m best described as a young cameraman with good knowledge of post production workflows and decent knowledge of the natural world.
Work at an equipment rental company and post production facility brought me good knowledge of both. Equipment-wise this has brought me good experience all sorts of cameras like the Red One, Alexa and DSLR. With the experience in such cameras, I have worked a lot as digital Clapper-loader on Dutch feature films an commercials.
I'd love to work story driven. I believe thats the only way. I love to work in teams but I’m very capable of working on my own as well. I’m self driven, fast in troubleshooting and always in search of new adventures! |

As long as he can remember, he always wanted to become a wildlife filmmaker. During his years working for the renowned production company Light & Shadow, he was able to
combine his cinematic style with his keen sense for animals.
His great passion first showed up when he spent eighteen months filming all across Brazil for the five part documentary series Wild Untamed Brazil (Terra Mater, National Geographic). His wide range of skills as camera operator not only comprises long-lense, macro and studio work

He has been spotted completing a wildlife filmmaking course in South Africa with NHU Africa, and current reports from the field suggest he is pencilling an independent shark documentary to be based in Costa Rica for 2 months later this year.
Although there is ability and motivation in abundance, he is still a fledgling in this territory, and therefore looking to gain as much experience as he can to fire up his wildlife filmmaking career. Foundations have been built in camera techniques, sound & video editing and script writing and his eagerness to learn more, try new things and develop his skills is overwhelming. Put him anywhere, doing anything, on any project, and he will revel in it.
One of the more creative types of the species, his background has combined graphic design with wildlife conservation, gaining experience in both the field and office environments, notably researching white sharks in South Africa; sharks, stingrays and turtles in the Maldives; being a trail leader through South America; and working in design and event management for a conservation NGO. His field experience has also seen him filmed in and assisting with documentaries by National Geographic and Vox production companies.
Offspring includes the clothing brand Dorsal, which was created to raise funding for shark research and conservation efforts, together with CoExistence, a marine conservation charity fund (both non-salaried projects).
He's out there somewhere! He is tagged though, so can easily be located by anyone interested in doing so. As a final note: he will be over-excitable, but don't be afraid - its because he likes you. |

I am an environmental history graduate, with a real passion for communicating stories about the natural world. Having studied a Masters degree in environmental policy, I understand the great need to communicate science to a mass audience, in an imaginative, understandable and engaging way. My Masters thesis focused on natural history television as a tool for conservation, a subject I feel strongly about.
I have been involved in the project Ghosts of Gone birds, and 2020 vision, and have written pieces for both the exhibition and book respectively. I am keen to use my skills as a writer, and my knowledge of environmental and conservation issues, to tell truthful yet captivating stories about the state of our planet.
I have experience in the field, having been lucky enough to work as a marine research diver in the Seychelles, and am a PADI qualified specialist reef diver. Recently I completed a course at Wildeye, in research and production for wildlife films. I am currently working with the company Opticron, as part of their 'A Focus on Nature' scheme, which works to encourage a younger generation to get involved in, enthused and passionate about nature, by providing financial support, career advice and networking experience. I am now working on setting up 'AFON diaries', where we will be interviewing sponsors, and keeping up to date with our recipients as they explore the natural world. Videos are to follow on the website -

She has lived in Belgium, the States, the UK and Japan. She has experience working with a suite of edition programmes and using cameras, so is adaptable for a wide range of roles that shoots may require, and is always up for a new challenge!
"I am a wildlife camera woman and photographer based out of Bristol, UK. I have been in the industry since 2013 and have extensive experience working on high-profile nature documentaries. I have travelled around the world with my camera on a shoestring, having most recently been captivated by the west coast of British Columbia in Canada. I am always looking for new learning opportunities to flex my brain and want to work together with you to create something unique and inspirational. I am an experienced Runner with practical experience on Television, Commercial and Photographic shoots. Keen to break into the technical department for natural history shows, I have knowledge of setting up cameras, lock-off posts, hides and controlled environments for filming wildlife. Adaptable to the needs of a production and the office, I am able to take direction, manage my time effectively and be quick to act when given a task.
Growing up on the Norfolk Coast, I have been immersed in nature from a very early age, and my passion for filming wildlife really was formed in the wild, walking on beaches, marching through muddy fields and staring at endless big blue skies. I am fascinated by the changing face of nature throughout the year. The way the landscape and the habitat changes throughout the seasons and storms, and the animals and birds who live here full time and those who visit whilst awakening me on their trip over the sky.
When not at work, I can be found down the seaside in rock pools on the North Norfolk coast! |

Trainee researcher, logger and runner looking to work in documentary TV and film.
I am keen to work on projects that champion animal rights, highlight the effects of climate change and observe nature. By virtue of my Anthropology degree, I also have a keen interest not only in societies and cultures but in learning about individuals and the lives that they lead. I want to dedicate my career to meaningful and educational storytelling which explores important subjects.
At this stage, I am looking for any junior role, although I am particularly interested in researcher roles. |

| Adam has a real passion for wildlife filmmaking. With a degree in Zoology, he is knowledgeable in a wide spectrum of environments and habitats and takes every opportunity to learn more. He loves an outdoor life & has the resilience for lengthy periods in remote locations.
His latest and most significant project to date was to film an independently organised month-long expedition to document a re-wilding project, trekking across the entirety of one of the largest uninhabited mountain ranges in Bulgaria. Adam‘s role as the primary camera operator helped develop his numerous camera skills through the many and varied filming opportunities. In addition he learned to maximise efficiency in the face of week-long periods with no access to power sources.
Adam has also worked alongside conservation charities such as Operation Wallacea who used his media, filmed in the Amazon rainforest in Peru, for promotional purposes.
Adam has filmed with a Sony 7S, DJI Osmo, Zhiyun Smooth-Q, and has good experience of flying camera mounted drones.
Adam is a fast learner with a creative mind, adaptable to working in a wide variety of environments.

I aspire to communicate scientific knowledge to the public through documentary filmmaking to reveal new insights on animal behaviour and the world’s natural history. Ever since studying Biology and Visual Arts during my International Baccalaureate I have been passionate about the two subjects, with a keen interest in animal behaviour and media practice. Correspondingly, I undertook a Bachelors in Biology followed by a Masters in Biological Anthropology, for which I received a distinction. As a way of combining my two passions and raising science awareness, I am currently undertaking another Masters in documentary filmmaking.
In 2015, I made a short documentary (8 minutes in duration) for my M.A. Digital Documentary degree at The University of Sussex in Brighton. I produced and directed the short documentary with a classmate. It was about food waste in the UK. This involved researching about food waste and food systems in the UK, operating a camera (i.e. Sony NX5, Nikon DSLR), sound recording (i.e. with a boom mic, lavalier mic, dynamic interview mic), interviewing individuals on the street as well as a university student and store manager, editing with Adobe Creative Suite and finding archive material.
From February until May I made another short documentary (10 minutes in duration) for my degree. It was about street musicians and I produced and directed it with another classmate. I have thus continued to refine my filmmaking skills (i.e. operating cameras, sound recording, interviewing individuals, editing with Adobe Suite and finding archive). As this documentary was partly historical, I conducted more research such as reading through a lot of literature on the history of busking as well as looking through and using more archive material. I also operated different types of cameras for this documentary, including the Sony X70 and Sony NX100.
I am currently volunteering at The Booth Museum of Natural History in Brighton and am looking for work experience or a paid work position in film production at a documentary film production company.
