(Sound or Field Recordists)

Whether it's following a host up and down the Glaciers of Alaska or diving to the depths to comment on the wildlife of the Kelp bed you need a solid sound mixer that has been there before.
I've experience in recording sound underwater with the AGA mask, Howler Monkeys in Central America with the Holophone and Humpback Whales with hydrophones. Added to that many Expedition Documentaries as the Location Sound Mixer, you can be sure you are getting the best sound possible. |

Oli works as a cameraman and a sound recordist but he can also direct and edit.
He has over fifteen years of experience working with some of the best people in the industry, yet he's always keen to work with new people whether from the UK or abroad.
Oli is as comfortable working with high profile personalities as he is with the average man on the street.
He's now worked with the legend that is David Attenborough three times. The first time was as a sound recordist, the second as a cameraman and the third time as a director.
The equipment he owns includes a lighting kit, a full sound kit, two editing set ups and various cameras including the new HD broadcast approved, large sensor Canon C300.
He has public liability insurance, equipment insurance, a BECTU press card, radio frequency licences, a clean driving licence, a recent CRB check and two passports.
Oli is based in London but his work takes him all over the UK and around the world.
His vaccinations are always kept up to date and, since he has his own kit, he's always ready for those last minute foreign assignments.

Jez riley French – field recordist, composer, artist.
Having been active in contemporary music & the arts for over three decades my work has been performed, exhibited and published widely across the world. In recent years I have been artist in residence with organisations in Estonia, Belgium, France, Portugal, Latvia, Italy, Japan, Korea & Austria.
I am fascinated and passionate about the infinite detail and expanding vistas of life around us, its sights and sounds, often overlooked or hidden. My creative output focuses on this never ending, joyous exploration and has increasingly involved elements such as audible silences, active listening, stillness & the empathy of compositional lines. |

Just graduated BA Audiovisual Media specialised as documentary cameraman, I have also developed good experience as a Camera Assistant and Sound Recordist.
From the start of my first days in Film making I've gained much experience from pre- to post-production. I'm best described as a young cameraman with good knowledge of (digital) post production workflows and wildlife.
Work at a combined equipment rental company and post production facility brought me good knowledge of both. Equipment wise this has brought me good experience in HD and newer types of cameras like the Red One, Alexa and DSLR. With the experience in such cameras, I work increasingly as digital Clapper-loader on Dutch feature films an commercials. A person on the set archiving and backup is increasingly a necessity in the world of digital film production.
I love to work in teams but I'm very capable of working on my own as well. I'm self driven, fast in troubleshooting and always in search of new adventures! |

I have recently successfully completed a BA Hons Degree in Sound Design at Ravensbourne. The course developed my skills in recording, mixing and designing sound. I have worked on numerous projects including, but not limited to documentaries, short film, TV pilots, animations, installations and radio shows.
In the past two years, I have begun to combine my lifelong passion for natural history and my love of sound in wildlife sound recording. I grew up working on my family farm in Kent, surrounded by nature, where I developed a keen interest and understanding of wildlife. I am intent on pursuing a career in the sound aspect of documentary film making, particularly wildlife and I'm seeking further experience in this field.
I have had a lot of experience on location shoots and in post production and have a wide range of recording equipment in my inventory. |
