About me:
I’m James Dunbar and I love to photographs insects.
I originally trained as a scientist achieving a hons degree in Zoology from the University of Glasgow, specialising in the study of ant-plant mutualisms, but was also interested in neurological mechanisms of behaviour, bio-ethics and behavioural ecology. Whilst at university I organised and led an expedition to Peru to collect data for my dissertation making valuable contacts in this country with whom I am still in touch with today.
After graduating I took up photography as a hobby. For the first few years I was largely self-taught, learning photography as a trade by completing an HNC in the subject whilst working part time.
After this I went to the University of Salford and got an MA in Wildlife Documentary Production for which I achieved a distinction. For this course I shot, directed, edited, graded and sound engineered my first film entitled Raft Spider.
I am currently looking for an entry level position as a camera assistant, runner or technician where I can meet people and learn skills to further enhance my existing knowledge, with the ultimate goal of being a professional full-time freelance macro photographer. |

Andy Rogan is an intelligent, multi-skilled Anglo-American with experience on both sides of the Atlantic. He has extensive knowledge in a number of factual disciplines stretching from the humanities and arts to the sciences. His core expertise (other than wildlife and in particular animal behaviour) lie in history, anthropology and archaeology, backed up by a BA in Archaeology & Anthropology and an MSc in Animal Behavior.
He has experience at a variety of levels within production and is interested in immersing himself within any of the entire process, from research and development, through logistics and cinematography to writing and post-production. Andy is passionate about environmentalist and humanitarian issues, and has close links with the Ocean Alliance (an NGO dedicated to saving whales and their ocean environment), and Shishu Polli Plus, an orphanage in Bangladesh. A highlight of this was filming the daily life of the crew on board The Odyssey, the Ocean Alliance’s research vessel, around the site of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill n the Gulf of Mexico. This involved filming the numerous encountered species including Sperm Whales, Spotted Dolphins, Leatherback Turtles and Oceanic Sunfish; but also setting up, creating and re-creating shots, interviewing and sound recording.
He also is a passionate stills photographer who enjoys combining this passion with his interests in anthropology/travel/culture, history and of course wildlife.
Having only recently finished his MSc, he is very keen to begin taking the next steps in his career: either on location or in research and production. |

Sebastien was born and bred in Libreville, Gabon (Central Africa) - hence his deep passion for Nature and his love of adventure, traveling and sharing!
After studying european and african nature conservation and wildlife filmmaking, he had the opportunity to work on his first wildlife documentary with Africa Wildlife Films Production company. The documentary, called Swimming Scared, is about Great White Sharks and Cape Fur Seals filmed in the notorious waters off Cape Town. After even a short time working on this film, Seb finally found his true passion which took him to the Sabi Sands Game Reserve where he operated as a 2D/3D camera operator, editor and presenter for Wildearth.TV for their live safaris.
After hundreds of hours behind 2D and 3D cameras and edit suites, he is now an independent wildlife filmmaker through Beyond Borders Productions trading as 'Beyond Borders' where he tries to get involved into as many wildlife documentaries and films as possible, marketing himself as a producer, 2D&3D video editor, DOP and 2D&3D camera operator.
He is also a very keen photographer in possession of a Sony Alpha 200 with a wide range of focus lenses.
Seb is now based in Plettenberg Bay on the Garden Route of South Africa. He is a very keen traveller and he will not hesitate to jump in a car or a plane to be part of your current production if you need his services.
His other project for 2013 is the opening of his 3D Nature Film School! His love and passion for all things wild and free can be seen in his projects, and his open mindedness and inventive thinking can only be a benefit to your current and future productions. |

I am a UK based time lapse photographer. I offer a dynamic range of time lapse solutions, tailored specifically to your needs. I have worked on a range of projects, content building for documentaries, music videos, art projects and corporate videos.
Last year I worked on a project in Belfast for multi award winning filmmaker Danny Cooke, where I was commissioned to produce a series of interior time lapses of the newly opened Titanic Belfast museum. I also had the privilege of working with Danny again on artist Kurt Perschke’s Redball project.
Currently I own and operate the Dynamic Perception Stage Zero dolly system with an integrated Merlin pan and tilt head for my motion control. I use the Canon 5D mark ii for my capture, which gives me the ability to achieve a 4K workflow and a cinema standard quality image.
One of my favourite places to time lapse are natural landscapes, living close to Dartmoor National Park I have spent countless days exploring its many landscapes capturing sunrises, sunsets and even dark skies (weather permitting) these opportunities have allowed me to hone and develop my skills as a time lapse photographer.
Please feel free to contact me to discuss any commercial work or collaboration enquiries you may have. |
