Philipp Klein is a camera operator and assistant based in Berlin.

As long as he can remember, he always wanted to become a wildlife filmmaker. During his years working for the renowned production company Light & Shadow, he was able to combine his cinematic style with his keen sense for animals.

His great passion first showed up when he spent eighteen months filming all across Brazil for the five part documentary series Wild Untamed Brazil (Terra Mater, National Geographic). Since his very first professional steps in the wildlife film business in 2011, he has been facing multiple ranges of extreme shooting conditions all across the world, from the clear cold of the Sibirian winter to the humidity and heat of the Amazonian rainforest.

His wide range of skills as camera operator not only comprises long-lense, macro and studio work (greenscreen/bluescreen), but also extreme slow-motion recording.

In 2014, he then became a camera operator and assistant on a freelance basis.

Yet, apart from his very diverse field of activities, spending as much time in nature as possible is still his main ambition in life.
