Sara is a Zoologist, Writer and Speaker.
With 4 years of presenting experience she has presenting anywhere from on live television and radio to museums and schools. She is currently a Senior Wildlife Officer for ORCA and works on a mini-cruise ferry in the North Sea, surveying marine mammals and presenting to on board guests about whale and dolphin conservation. Recent work includes guiding both BBC film crew for The One Show and Ray Mears on current documentaries. Previous to this, Sara has been the President of Newcastle University’s Zoological Society, a Wildlife Guide and Presenter on a Whale Watching boat in Scotland and a Wildlife Rehabilitator in Canada - working with black bears, coyotes, raccoons and much more.
Sara also excels with the written word and is currently writing a book about wildlife conservation in Canada. She has worked as a Features Journalist for a newspaper and has recently published an article in the UK Wolf Conservation Trust magazine, in addition to producing, narrating and editing a wolf biology DVD.
A hardy traveller, Sara has backpacked all over the world from +40°c in the Sahara Desert to -40°c in the Yukon Territories. She is never afraid of hard work and always researching her next expedition. Relative new comer looking to gain more work and experience.
