Raymond is a freelance long lens wildlife cameraman and photographer from the Orkney Islands now based in Aberdeenshire. He is happy to consider any filming project but has a particular interest and knowledge of bird behaviour and marine topics. Raymonds' first film was called The Flying Dustbin which he produced, filmed and narrated on a small budget. It won Best of Category – Amateur and a Merit Award for Scientific Content at the 31st IWFF in Montana in 2008 and was shortlisted in the Best Film on a Limited Budget Category at Wild Talk Africa in Durban 2009.

Recent cinematography credits include BBC Springwatch Guide to Seabirds, BBC Springwatch 2013, BBC Scotland Midsummer Live and the forthcoming series BBC The Great British Year as well as additional photography credits on BBC Panorama and BBC Natural World films. He has experience of using both tape and P2 Panasonic Varicam systems with HJ40 Canon super telephoto lens as well as Sony PMW-500, FS700 and EX-3 camera systems. Comfortable using file-based media and editing using FCP.
He's also an award-winning stills photographer with fourteen years press photography experience travelling extensively in Africa and Europe. Excellent identification skills, particularly birds and has experience of spending extended periods in the field.
He is a keen diver and holds PADI Rescue and Nitrox qualifications.
