The Bird and Nature Festival (or Festival de l'Oiseau et de la Nature as it is known among French-speakers) is based in Abbeville, Bay of Somme in the North of France. We are proud to have developed around our international film competition, open to amateurs and professionals, many other activities among which are the photo competition and exhibitions and activities for children. But what makes our event really special is that it offers the unique opportunity to discover the Bay of Somme (a member of 'The Most Beautiful Bays in the World's Club' as well as Vietnamese Ha Long Bay) and the whole area with guides specialized in ornithology or flora. Since 1991, the Bay of Somme is the place to be for nature lovers. Screenings, exhibitions, outings and children activities will be awaiting again from April 12th to 20th 2025. Every year ever since, professional as well as amateur filmmakers are welcome to enter their latest productions about birds, wildlife or environmental issues. FILM COMPETITION Every year, the Bird and Nature Festival invites amateur and professional filmmakers to participate in its film competition dedicated to birds, wildlife and environmental issues as well as nature, broadly speaking. The selected films will be screened in April 2026 to the Jury and the public.and the winners will be revealed during the Awards ceremony on Saturday, April 25, 2026. Winners will share 12,000 € of Prizes. All award-winning images and a Jury’s selection will be shown during the event which will be held from 18 to 26 April 2026. 6 Categories - 8 Prizes €7,000 to be won with a €1,500 Grand Prize!
