Mangrove Action Project (MAP) is a US-based non-profit which collaborates with individuals and organizations to preserve, conserve, and restore the world’s mangrove forests.
MAP have conducted mangrove workshops in more than 20 countries, teaching best practices for mangrove conservation, restoration, and education.
MAP works with a variety of mangrove stakeholders, including coastal communities, NGOs, scientists, and governments to improve mangrove practices globally.
We also run the yearly annual Mangrove Photography Awards.

Entries are FREE and open to photographers of all levels and abilities around the world
Photographers can enter any of 6 categories:
Wildlife
Underwater
Landscape
People
Threats
Conservation Stories (portfolio)
Winners will be awarded in each category with additional Mangrove Photographer of the Year, Young Mangrove Photographer of the Year, Emirates Award, Arabian Gulf Award, and People’s Choice prizes.
